distorte: modernismus: peacelovechanel: i’ve seen this picture so much and it’s been submitted so much, and i don’t think i’ve ever posted it. im on the fence on chanel logo tattoos. personally, i’d never get a logo of a designer tattooed on myself. personally i think chanel double c tattoos are kind of…. i dunno, lame. please don’t be offended, but i think tattoos need to have a deep meaning behind them. what is everyone elses thoughts? metairony and the signs and signifiers of fashion I would feel very sad if a met a girl with one of these. I mean, we might meet in a pub and the tattoo would be hidden by her hair, and we would talk about films and alcoholic drinks and stuff and she would say she’s interested in fashion and I would nod and do my blank smile because I’m not against it but I don’t really know how to talk about it and then I’d say I’m into steel bicycles and she would nod and do a blank smile or maybe ask what else bikes are made out of but overall we’d be getting on well and she’d be very beautiful and I’d be very beautiful because she was talking to me and later on we’d be back in her apartment and I’d be trying not to judge the books on her shelves or playing with the dials on the adjustable mannequin in her room and when it got to undressing I’d mess around with her hair a bit and I’d see this tattoo and I wouldn’t recognise it but I’d still know what it was, in the same way that I can’t tell car logos apart and I’d probably feel very sad and disappointed, not in the girl specifically but in the world, and what it’s done to the girl, I suppose. But I wouldn’t stop undressing. I hope that makes me a good person.
